Why We're Building Kasava Across the UK and India
By Ronojay Nag · 4 March 2026 · 2 min read
Still Building.
Kasava operates across the UK and India: commercial operations in Britain, alongside a growing development team in Kolkata.
Why India
Technology businesses depend on people. India gives us access to a deep engineering and technology talent base and the ability to build our own capability rather than outsourcing the product.
Owning the engineering means owning the intellectual property. For a company trying to become infrastructure rather than a reseller, that distinction matters enormously.
Why the UK Side Matters Just As Much
Engineers need to understand the problem they are solving. Our customers — fleet operators, professional drivers, insurers — are close at hand in the UK market.
Customers identify the problem. The commercial team translates it. Engineering builds it. The loop runs in weeks rather than quarters.
One Company, Two Countries
The objective is not two disconnected businesses. It is one technology organisation that happens to operate in two places — shared roadmap, shared standards, shared ambition.
It is difficult to do well. I believe it can become one of Kasava's genuine competitive advantages.
